Oathmark Books

It has been a few months since the Oathmark rulebook was released by Osprey.

In these uncertain times, I have not been able to try out the rules yet, even though I have been reasonably busy getting an army ready and even thinking about a second or third.

One of the things I like about the concept is the ability to use (almost) any fantasy models in an army (just don’t mention muskets and cannon).

So even before I get a game played, a supplement has been released and I have it already on the shelf with the core rulebook. The book I have is with the cover on the left, not sure if the Dwarven cover made it to print or that was just a concept, but it is a nice bit of art anyway.

Coming in November is the third book, with rules for the Undead, which I am quite pleased about as I have a proper horde of skeletons going back about thirty years, some of which still need to be painted and they all need to be rebased but that is another story…

There are a couple of Oathbreakers covers shown on the internet, but I expect the final book will have the cover shown below on the left.

And finally, even before the Oathbreakers book is out, I see there is yet another book planned for next year, only one bit of art that I have seen so far, but it has a nice Dwarven Hastings vibe!

Tudor Dice Tower

The next building in my Tudorish project is a dice tower.

I have made some barn style doors where the dice will roll out so the intrnal ramp bit can be hidden away if wanted.

There are still some fixes to make here and there, mainly on the external beams.

There is also a small yard area to trap the dice, but I want to design a better fence.

The tower can be made up very tall, but this is a bit too much really, it would end up towering over everything else on the table!

Square Tudor House

This is next of the square houses for my Tudorish town. I am getting quite a production line going here and have refined the building and painting steps.

Although it took a bit longer, I picked out some of the foundation bricks with different colour greys.

The roof is painted with a Homebase Fulham red, which is a nice warm colour and yet another variety of red for the roofs in the town.

I need to work on some new designs so there is enough variety in the builds.
