This is the last of my Top Hatters Empire Of The Dead faction. She is armed with a very big gun so is perhaps more likely to see combat as part of British Militia in Steam Wars.
I finished off some more of the Lead Adventure models for a new Empire Of The Dead faction. The whole gang will be wearing top hats and will be rather unimaginatively called The Top Hatters.
When I see pictures of my models at this size, I start to realise that I am going to have to paint the eyes. Over recent months I have been painting the eyes on Bob Olley’s Scrunt models and my old collection of Rackham Tir-Na-Bor dwarves, but that is because the eyes are actually sculpted quite large and I can manage to pick those out. However, when the eyes are so much smaller on a 28mm humanish figure, I really struggle.
Anyway, I like the rest of the model…
As you may have noticed, I really like the Lead Adventure miniature range, I have been picking up so many, that far from just having an Empire Of The Dead crew, I should have enough to make several militia units for my Steam Wars game.
Some, like this with chap with an axe, are more suited to close combat, whilst others, with their huge variation in basic and special weapons will suit numerous roles.
This is one of Andrew May’s steampunk heroes from his Meridian Miniatures range. This chap is monster hunter, but with that grenade rifle, he will be equally as good at taking down small vehicles.
Another of the “Top Hatters” with a fancy multi-barreled hand gun.
I like the added sticks of dynamite on a chain for those difficult to move obstacles.
