Meridian Kickstarter Delivers

My Meridian Miniatures Kickstarter delivered today, another pile of lead to be painted.
This is a great addition to Andrew May’s steampunk range and should be on his Meridian Miniatures website in the not to distant future.
The militia models will make a good alternative unit for army, I also reckon they will be really good as a crew for Empire Of The Dead. It will also make a nice change to not paint them all in the same uniform, the militia can be painted in a wide range of colours.
The existing army is expanding at quite a rate, I really must not buy anything else…

Steampunk Heroine

When I see pictures of my models at this size, I start to realise that I am going to have to paint the eyes. Over recent months I have been painting the eyes on Bob Olley’s Scrunt models and my old collection of Rackham Tir-Na-Bor dwarves, but that is because the eyes are actually sculpted quite large and I can manage to pick those out. However, when the eyes are so much smaller on a 28mm humanish figure, I really struggle.
Anyway, I like the rest of the model…

Steampunk Axeman

As you may have noticed, I really like the Lead Adventure miniature range, I have been picking up so many, that far from just having an Empire Of The Dead crew, I should have enough to make several militia units for my Steam Wars game.
Some, like this with chap with an axe, are more suited to close combat, whilst others, with their huge variation in basic and special weapons will suit numerous roles.
