More Beef

I have had these two Ogryns knocking around for far too long waiting for some paint.
Now they are finished, I can field two units of three beefy Ogryns in my Steam Wars Prussian army.

They may even get used in a 40K Inquisition force…

Sky Hussars

I did actually finish these off last weekend during the snowy weekend but I have only just had chance to take a photo of them.

I shortened the smoke plume so the models would fit onto a 25mm base and not have to use a large 40mm base.

The flame effect is a bit stripey, it does not blend very well, I may have to revisit them.

Roboplane Painting

The Roboplanes for the Steam Wars Mechanica army have been hanging around half painted for quite a few weeks.

It could do with some weathering, but that is a painting skill I have not quite mastered, especially on flat surfaces.

Fortunately, the cockpit detail is still reasonably visible, although the control stick is not painted or maybe even finished, it is still just a pin.

The nose cannon is impressive, I suspect the recoil of firing this beast in flight would cause the plane to stall.

New Toy!

I finally have the new Mantic Tunneler from their Kickstarter which ended exactly two years ago.

It is quite a nice looking kit and appears to snap together but there are no instructions. There seem to be some optional parts in the kit, I really can’t remember what I was expecting anyway or what the options are meant to be. I will have to Google some instructions or maybe just some other models finished by other people. This image seems like a good place to start.
