I did not bother with any uniformity with these Armoured Ashigaru, I thought it better to be able to tell them apart in a skirmish game.
The banners do not have accurate symbols from what I can tell, I just wanted something easy to paint!
Finished off some AW Miniatures figures for my first go at Ronin this week. These along with some Samurai that were painted some time ago will give me more than enough for a 250 point warband.
First up here are some unarmoured Ashigaru.
I just need to re-read the rules again, but the game mechanics looks quite good.
I need to get a move on with these as my first game of Ronin is drawing ever closer.
They will also double up for Bushido, hence I am using my least favourite bases, but at least they will match the Bushido models.
I have recently finished another addition for my Cult Of Yurei Bushido faction. Not had chance to try him out yet.
I recently purchased an extra Oni for my Bushido Save Wave faction. He is a bit smaller than the other Oni, but also cheaper on points.
This really was a 20 minute paint job, a few block colours and an ink wash. Done.
The last of my Bushido Savage Wave, Waka the Rampager.
I also took a mould of the statue head and made an extra piece of blocking terrain for when he chucks the head at the enemy.
The pile of skulls is just a random objective marker for whatever…
This one eyed critter for the Savage Wave is The Nain. Basically a large hound of some description.
This is the last of the Bushido images for a while until I get some more taken of the Bakemono horde.
These were finished just before I headed off to America, some proxy figures to be used as Oni Slaves and Okina and Oto the Bakemono drumming combo.
Some of the little Bakemono figures are quite difficult to paint as in some places I can’t tell what a part of the model actually is. Anyway, they are so small, you can get away with random colours…
