I must be mad, I have given myself another whole army to paint, again. But having played a couple of games recently, I really like the rules and thought I should jump in to A Song Of Ice And Fire.
Although I resisted buying any at Colours recently, I decided to punt for a Lannister force in the end and ebayed a good selection.
I need to get undercoating this weekend…
I have managed to finish off a few random models this week, in a vain attempt to make way for new stuff, but there is still more to clear yet.
This batch are for Rogue Stars and any other miscellaneous sci-fi games I get into.
The first two are Aberrant Games models, both law keepers and so destined for a Space Cops crew, really nice models.
A blast from the past is this old Imperial Psyker, I had a bit of trouble getting some old paint off of it, but after a quick paintjob, he will join the Star Cops crew.
I thought these two Spartan Games models would make interesting armoured SWAT type models. As I was undecided what colour to go for, and they had been undercoatd in white, I opted for a Stormtrooper paint scheme, then again, that is just lazy.
A spare Karman model got a repaint, not sure what for yet, but he came up quite nice.
Finally, a Westwind armoured chap, originally for the Japanese Weird War II force, but using a Space Marine head, he is now a general hero type dude.
My retro Tyranid army for the current edition of 40K is nearly ready, I bought another old lead Tyranid Warrior with a Venom Cannon off eBay, this brings my total Warriors up to twelve. I will be able to run two units of six models.
I just to remember what colours I used to match the other one…
This weekend is the Colours Wargames show at Newbury Racecourse, one of the two shows I try to get to every year.
This year I have been trying not to get into anything new but have been comprehensively failing. Apart from buying the new Ragnarok book from Osprey, I have also bought the new Warcry starter box and can feel myself being drawn into CMON’s Game of Thrones A Song of This and That.
Anyway, at Colours, young Jim at Products For Wargamers will have some new shipping containers on sale that I finished designing recently. I am quite please with the design and they stack really well. I think ten or so of these would look pretty good on a table.
I wonder what I will come back from Colours with?
