3D Printed Viking

In the last few months, I have bought a few 3D printed models, mostly from eBay, but a few from recently attended shows. There are some amazing looking sci-fi and fantasy figures out there so I wanted to get a few to see what the quality is like. I will try to share a few examples over the next few weeks.

One of those bought from eBay was a nice looking Viking type chap that would fit into my Ragnarok warband.

When it arrived, very well packed up in bubble wrap and a sturdy box, I had to laugh when I opened it up and saw all of the supports on the model.
This is the first 3D printed model I have received like this.

I know supports are critical to a 3D printed model, but I have to say I was surprised by how many there were.

Apart from a couple of pits left on the inside of the cloak, all of the supports came off fine.

There was also a scenic base included, but I will be basing him on a standard 25mm round base so he matches the rest of my Viking warband.
