Whats Still On The Table?

By the time I had finished slapping paint onto the resin Inquisitors car, it was a lot less black and grey than I thought it was going to be. Needs inking.

Whats On The Table?

This resin Inquisitor Car from Wargame Exclusive is a great looking model, another I have been delaying in painting.

Being of a Batmobile type design, I thought I would paint it black, but black is such a hard colour to do. So I decided on dark Panzer Grey instead…which is nearly black…

Final Touches

After a long cold and damp winter, a window of opportunity to undercoat the beast was approaching.

I still had a couple of last gasp decisions to make, I had been undecided on which sort of vertical thrust engine nozzles to use.

In the end I went for the larger of the types I made made.

I also added a recess to the upper hull and a couple of what can be called missiles. Although bits of sprue would be a more accurate description.

With all the engine nozzles finally glued on, it is looking pretty good.

I added more than a few rivets…

I still really like the rear view, the engine configuration looks great.

So now it is ready for undercoating.

Landing Engine Nozzles

I needed four more rocket nozzles for the transporter landing engines. As I have not been painting much recently, mainly due to building this monster, I have not been accruing very many of the Vallejo/Army Painter paint lids.

So instead I have made four larger nozzles from white wood glue containers.

Note sure if I will use these as I have some other lids from water bottles to try out…

I could actually do with four more of the other lids used on the rear of the transporter so at least they would all be the same style.

Mantic Tunneler

This is the Mantic Veer Myn Tunneler I received a short time back from the 2015 Kickstarter, don’t get me started…

Anyway, I will be using this as a Steam Wars Mechanica Tunneler, primarily as a troop transport.

There was the opportunity to make the nose removable so weapons could be added. I added a plate in the nose ring so if no weapons are added, the interior would be hidden behind the plastic card.

So with a weapon added, I could even use this little beastie as a tank for the Mechanic force, something they are lacking at the moment.

To start with, I was not sure which way round to mount the three massive drill bits but then found the image above online which suggests they go on like this:

…and not like this:
