Questoris Knight #1

Although the base is not done and transfers have not been added, I am parking the first Questoris Knight for the moment. I want to come back to the bases when all the Knights are painted so they can have some sort of consistent theme. The same goes for adding the transfers and making sure I have enough of each type to go where I want them.

One lesson learnt is not to spend much time painting the Knights head as it will be covered bu with the helmet. It is a shame really as I was quite pleased with the eye lenses and the shading…

Transformers Dropship

A good few years ago, I acquired an old Transformers toy space ship. This thing opened up into a playset and had quite a bit of extra gubbins inside. I removed all of the excess guff and then glued the whole thing closed.

When I first bought my airbrush and compressor, I experimented on this model trying a few different colours and seeing how easy (or not) the airbrush was to use.

The eye lights look good and I reckon they were worth the extra effort.

Leviathan Crusader Problem

Even though I built this bad boy a few years ago, I have only recently painted it. I also thought it would be a good idea to add a couple of LED eye lights, you know, just for fun…

And the lights work well. I even attached a light switch to the back of the torso to make switching them on and off nice and easy.

But, and it is a big but, after I have painted all of the armour and added the lights inside the torso, I then found that the top armour section needs to be fitted BEFORE the two shoulder pauldrons are glued on. This means I can’t remove the top section to switch the lights on and off. Damn…
